About Cambridge Triathlon Club

Our club activities fall into four broad areas

Racing

We participate and compete at all levels from novice to international elite over distances from super-sprint to ironman.  Our Club Championship is based on a series of local and national races with competition across all age groups.  Besides multi-sport events, (triathlon, duathlon & aquathlon) many of us participate and compete in swimming, running, cross-country and cycling only events.

Training

We run a full programme of training sessions year round structured by coaches with many years of experience and success.  Though our sessions are designed for those preparing to compete many members join simply for the fun, fitness and coaching that they get from coming to training sessions.

Race Organisation

The Rob McLean Junior Triathlon, for under 16s, has grown tremendously over the last few years as more and more youngsters come into the sport.  We take tremendous pride in the professionalism, quality and value of our race promotions.  Indeed the only obligation of membership is a commitment to help our events team keep it that way. We also run a series of races for club members.

Social

We have an active social calendar. The highlight is the annual awards dinner held at the end of the season. There is also a lively social after our AGM in the new year, a summer BBQ and a big club day out at the National Relays in Nottingham. The Club is run by a small elected executive committee with the help of a number of sub-committees, officers, helpers and qualified coaches.  We try to retain a close-knit family feel and the more of us that are involved in the upkeep of the Club the better.
