Official pathways

The Talent Pathways are detailed on the British Triathlon website – https://www.britishtriathlon.org/gb-teams/talent

The regional academy programme is the first stage of the British Triathlon World Class Performance Pathway – https://www.britishtriathlon.org/east/regional-academy.  All the details are available on the regional academy website.  There are a number of families with experience of the academy programme, so ask at sign-in at Saturday training and we will put you in touch with them or Tim Williams, one of our coaches, who runs the Eastern Regional Academy.

Unofficial pathways

The Tri East Development Squad (http://trieast.co.uk/) was formed in 2019. Tri East has been developed by Ipswich High School Triathlon Club coaches to bridge what they see as a gap in the official triathlon pathway between triathlon clubs and the academy system or super series racing.  The formation of the squad has been supported by the East Region of Triathlon England, but is not an official pathway.  The role of this development squad may become clearer in the future.
